Creative Director: Madeline Weinrib
Materials: 100% linen

Designed and crafted by AlNour, these elegant embroidered coasters nod to a silk-embroidered linen towel end (18th century) attributed to the Moroccan city of Fez.

Translating to “the light” in Arabic, AlNour serves as a beacon of hope through thoughtful design. Founded by Patricia Kahane in 2013, the Marrakech-based operation employs and empowers women with medical needs. Behind each gorgeous textile is a woman supported: with valuable skills, steady income, health insurance, and childcare. Made from 100% natural fibers embellished with tasteful pops of color, there’s pride in every stitch of an AlNour creation.

Produced for The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, in partnership with Madeline Weinrib, creative director for The Heirloom Project.
